UPDATED: JAN 3, 2004 ruby-brown colour, fine head, slightly toasted malty aroma with some buttery notes, sweet and light-bodied, soapy with a rather disgusting and moderate malty finish - dubious

Bottle. Brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is malt, hop, caramel. Flavour is dust, malt, hop, caramel. Medium body. Ordinary beer.

Clear medium to dark brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, burnt caramel malt. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, light burnt caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120217]

Bottle @ Fastelavnssmagning 2012, Ulfborg. Pours dark ruby amber with a small off white head. Lots of dark fruit and caramel. Prune and raisin. Medium bodied. Fine.

Bottle. Clear dark amber/brown with small beige head. Aroma is malt, caramel, little chocolate and light nutty. Flavour is is malt, medium sweet, caramel, chocolate and nuts.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are toasted malt, caramel, nuts and hops.

Bottle. It pours a clear, brown body under a small, off-white head. The aroma is on the malty side, with roasted and chocolatey notes beneath. Not much hoppyness going on. The flavor is mostly roasted, with some underlying coffee and roasted malt. A touch of dried fruits blend in, becoming stronger towards the end. Medium body, quite dry. Nice bitterness in the end, both roasted and hoppy. Overall, a quite ordinary one, but not bad in any way. 120217

On draught at Zeughauskeller. This brew pours dark brown with some reddish highlights around the edges. Medium foamy off-white head that evaporates slowly, and sticky patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel and a touch of hops. The finish is malty with a slightly metallic hops aftertaste. Decent overall.

Draught at "Rheinfelder Bierhalle" - Zurich.
Black/brown color, good head of medium resistance, medium bubbly aspect. Notes of roast cereal, ash and braced wood. Medium alcoholic body, good prickly, not much bitter. Pleasant and long malty final.

Appearance: Quite dark brown. Lots of off-white head. Aroma: Malty and sweet. Maybe too sweet. Taste: Very sweet and malty. Molasses. Some hops. Info: 330ml bottle, 13/8-2010
