This beer reminded very much of a wheat. It was not a robust flavor but refreshing. I enjoyed the fact that is was not hammered with hops.

UPDATED: JUN 23, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) A 5-grain beer - no less. The label doesn’t bother to tell us which grains though. Hazy orange with a fine, fizzy head - almost like a "Hefe-Weizen". Considering all the cereals you get this has surprisingly little flavour. Quite dry with an underlying sweetness and almost no bitterness. When you make the effort of producing a rather complicated beer, why do you want to derive it all character? 020103

UPDATED: JAN 8, 2005 [Spugen Quinto - Poretti ITA] Torbid color. Complex aroma with notes of cereals and wheat. Consecrated waters and persistent.

Light fruity and bread aroma. Hazy, golden color, off-white head, good lace. Light fruity flavor, grains, light sweet, light bitter, medium body. Had it labeled as Splugen Quinto.

Bottle@Spiesys. Didn’t mind this so much. Cloudy lager. Slighly estery, wheaty, slight hint of banana, pretty innofensive, neutral sort of flavour.

Bottled. White foggy body, dense looking white beer. So dense in fact it looked heavy to pick up. Thinnish, neutral, non-offensive flavour. Easy drinking when cold on a hot day. [London gathering: Spiesy, Duff, chris_o, Marty-D and SilkTork]

Beer #9 at Spiesy’s. The last of the Swiss run brought over by cousin Marty (and thanks to him for doing the honours) that looked as if it might be more interesting. Multigrain mash (5 grains presumably). Unfiltered, so a cloudy gold colour. Some yeast in the aroma. Unfortunately, it was back to dull city once I actually started tasting it. I agree with Silk though that is was the best of the Swiss beers.

SilkTork (4737) - Rochester, Kent, United Kingdom, WALES - JUN 28, 2004
Unfiltered bottle @ Spiesy’s gaff. Neutral aroma. Some wheat flavours, but mostly bland. Probably the least offensive of the Swiss beers.

[Splügen Quinto] Pale yellow coloured. The use of five different cereals doesn't make it very special. It's just a thin and boring lager.
