1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20 duff (5484) - Lund, SWEDEN - MAR 17, 2006
Bottle. Absolutely horrible. Watery, stale, some boiled vegetables. Unbelievably bad. I can’t write anything else about it. Green apples in the finish.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 BückDich (5467) - McCall, Idaho, USA - FEB 4, 2006
Caramel bronze color, lightly hazy/murky. Decent retentive head. Smells of light brown sugar and crisp earthy noble hops. A nice all-around bitterness along with a bit of body. Not all that impressive, just another standard import bitter. Lots of fruit in the fin ish and not much alcohol on the mouthfeel. Brief tail. Refreshing, easy drinking ale.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Hansen (5447) - Assentoft, DENMARK - MAY 1, 2009
Brown coloured and hazy. Odd aroma, spicy, yeasty. Flavor starts medium sweet. And finish is lightly bitter. Lively carbonation.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 BBB63 (5406) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - MAR 28, 2005
Bottle: Coppery hue with an initial large frothy head which fades an leaves very good lace. The aroma has notes of hayfield, grassy and floral hops, apple, faint caramel malting. The taste is moderately bitter with a noticeable apple twang. A bit metallic and chalky in taste and finish. The feel is very thin and fizzy. A bit more heft in the body and malt notes would do this a world of good, still is quaffable enough.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 larsga (5325) - Oslo, NORWAY - SEP 18, 2007
Small offwhite coarse head. Brown body. Light sugary toffeeish malt aroma with caramel notes, slightly watery. Tartish malty taste with smoky wild berry notes and a touch of earth. Clean mouthfeel. Watery, empty malty aftertaste. Quite nice, but not that much taste. (0.5l bottle at Cardinal, Stavanger.)
3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Cornfield (5276) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - APR 1, 2005
Great copper coloring with a tall creamy head that lingers for the duration. (My durations are fairly brief, so that’s not a real test.) It’s got a nice light malt aroma with some herbal bitterness and the scent of fresh apples. Smooth to drink, it delivers a mouthful of malty bitterness with more apples lingering at the edges. Good session ale.

This bitter pours a deep brown color from a 500ml bottle. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is sweet malts and a touch earthy. A medium bodied bitter. Malts are fruity and sweet. Touch of peat, moss and wood. Mild flavors. Nice session ale. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet,

Bottle from Centra.
Lots of maltiness, full taste, nice piney bitter finish. A very dedent bottled bitter, very welcome to the Norwegian scene. Nutty. Fine with food - this would be great with a curry.
