Sour-sweet smell, wood, fruits, milk, liquor. Probably not my beer... Looks are ok brown with a medium had, but it colapses to soon. Just a small head stays. Should get 2.5... Taste is sour fruits, some wood. I know sour ale is not my stuff, but itís better drinkeable then expected. The sourness is not to overwhelming. In fact, besides itís a bit to much mouthfeel like a soda and itís even pretty sweet, itís drinkeable. But this type of beer wonít be my favorite to soon.

25 cl bottle. Pours a dark red-brown color with a medium white head. The aroma is sour vinegar, caramel malts. A slightly sour flavor with lots of sweet sugary caramel brown malts. OK.

Hazy brown beer. Only lighlty sour. Offset by some good generic fruit. Finishes crisp and dry.

25cl bottle from Beer Planet. Reddish-brown pour with a beige head which soon vanishes. Very nice sweet/sour aromas of licorice, oak, prunes, figs. Flavours of dried fruit, cherries, raisins, licorice, figs, dates. Nice sweet/sour balance. Dry finish with the aforementioned sweet/sour mix. Very pleasant.

Bottle, 150cl corked, at RBNAG -09, courtesy of geokkjer. It pours an unclear, orange-brown body, topped by a beige head. Well carbonated, the cork hit the quite high ceiling when popped. Cellar, sourness and dried fruits well integrated in the aroma. Thereís some acidity in the flavor, with dried fruits, some cellar and hints of barnyard. Full-bodied and nicely carbonated. A really pleasant and easy drinkable beer. 091107

Along with the 1993 Courage RIS, this mid 90ís brew proves why Greg wins. Absolutely beautiful in the glass. Strong and colorful. Taste is a rich mild sweetness. Kinda oxymoronic, but thatís what I wrote. Palate is bold and rich, but clean and clear. A pleasure.

Little bottle shared by Greg Koch at Woodshop 5.0 He said he brought it back from Belgium in the mid-90s. Porus brown. Nose is tart. Taste is extremely tart, really damn good, well aged.

1,5 liter magnum bottle, 2004 vintage sampled@RBNAG 2009, VatlandsvŚg. Hazy reddish orange with some floaters and a dense beige head. Lovely complex aroma with cellar notes, mould, overripe apples, yeast, caramel and some acid. Flavor is complex as well, fruity acidity, overripe fruit, sweet caramel malt, light grapefruit and cellar notes. Delicious and quite quaffable actually.
