Head is initially large, frothy, off-white, mostly lasting. Body is clear dark orange-brown. Aroma is lightly malty (nutty, light bread), with prominent notes of brown mustard and horseradish, lesser notes of vinegar, wine, and cherry. Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic. Finish is moderately acidic. Medium body, creamy texture, lively carbonation. Weird aroma (not entirely unpleasant for the style, but not appetizing either).

Sampled bottle was from 1998. Purple-red beer with good beige head. Sourish aroma with sourcream tone and a hint of citrus. The flavor is very full with citrus and sourcream notes and a malty finish. It is very smooth and rounded. I agree with omhper, I just love it

Sampling of the 1998 version in 2002. Very dark brown. Wonderful balsamic, slightly acidic aroma. Medium bodied, vinuous. Perhaps not the most complex of beers, but I just love it.

Sweet and sour, with a hint of maple and molasses.

Iron and framboise aroma. Tastes a little iron, light and a bit sweet. Finishes very fruity and a little sour.
