COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Here’s to the man who drinks strong ale, and goes to bed quite mellow. Lives as he ought to live, and dies a jolly good fellow. — Old English folk song A full-bodied and clean bitter taste, balanced with sweet malty and fruit notes and a distinctive floral, lemon/citrus and spicy hop aroma and flavour.

Cask, gravity, at 34th Bedford Real Ale and Cider Festival. Served to be by a lady whose name tag informed me her surname was ’Mudd’. I really wanted to say, ’So, your name is Mudd.’ But I didn’t dare, and it would have been quite offensive. Reddish amber. Buttery aroma and slightly buttery malt taste which I have to confess I rather like. Sharp bitter finish.

A - apple and sour fruit A - amber with thin head T - sour with unpleasent bitter P - mid O - not great
