Cask (handpump) at Fellows Morton & Clayton, Nottingham on 14 July 2012. House beer made by Nottingham brewery. This was listed as an alias of Nottingham Rock Bitter but I’m pretty sure that is not the case. For a start, it has appeared regularly at Nottingham Beer Festival (and other festivals) with Rock Bitter available separately at the same festival, and with a different description. And, whilst Rock Bitter is fairly pale, this is much more of a golden ale than a bitter. Pale gold in colour with a tight white head. Excellent condition. Plenty of lemony hop character. Dry, firm mouthfeel. Good quaffer.

Tap at Fellows Morton and Clayton, Canal Street, Nottingham. This is FM&C’s branded beer but is brewed by Nottingham Brewery. A clear golden with a generous, foamy head which kept on giving lacing all the way down. Sweet hoppy aroma with faint honey. Well balanced taste of initial honey and fruits with a decent bitter hops kick. Thin in the mouth but a good beer.
