Bottle, 5.1%. Distinct banana aroma. Cloudy orange colour. Nice big stable white head. The flavour has less banana than aroma, but still quite distinct. Also some lemony citrus in the flavour.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Maria (8585) - Thisted, DENMARK - FEB 20, 2012
Bottle@brewpup. It’s unclear dark golden with a huge, creamy head. The aroma has notes of spicy yeast, clove, banana and wheat. The flavor is sweet with notes of spicy yeast, banana, wheat, and the finish is psicy - very nice and harmonic.
2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Grima (1573) - Saarburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - SEP 23, 2011
Pours a cloudy, citrusy yellow beer with a high, long-lived head. The smell is yeasty and fruity. Starts sweet, yeasty also subtly fruity. Some clove aroma is noticeable in the background. The finish is also quite sweet and fruity fermented. The sweetness increases in the further course, also like the yeast aroma!
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Schroppfy (2332) - Łódż, Warsaw, Poland; Michigan, Ohio, USA - JUN 11, 2011
All salt and pepper and no real sweetness, no banana, no bubblegum, pretty much a clove and pepper beer. On draught. Nice and cloudy, looks great. Slight lingering head. Aroma is strong and very peppery. Flavor is stinging clove with a sticky back finish to a degree. Only slight sweetness, moderate bitterness/vegetal quality from the yeast. Broad spectrum hefe yeast, not the cleanest in the flavors. Lip smacking dry and yet sticky.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 pivnizub (7239) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - OCT 8, 2008
Screw-cap bottle: Pale-golden to golden, mid-sized white rocky head, quite stable; sweet-fruity (lemons, bananas) nose with a wheaty-yeasty background; moderate sweetish-sourish flavour, light to medium bodied; lemony-sourish finish with a light hoppiness and tartness in the very end. Good and pleasant...........

Bottle. Sour milk, lemon, banana, wheat malt aroma. Pale yellow-orange color with large head. Sour lemon and creamy wheat malt flavor. Mild clove finish. Decent but mediocre Hefe.
2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 mmather (119) - Colorado, USA - APR 15, 2008
From a 500ml soda like screw top (the first or its kind I have ever seen) bottle. Not sure the screw top does this one any favors. For a Bavarian Hefe, this is one of the worst examples I have ever had. Has a slightly sour nose (thankfully doesnt come through in the flavor), a dusty flavor with little in the way of typical hefeweizen cloviness. Overall, although drinkable, it is a bit harsh and not really one I would recommend. This is an effort I would expect of a local American brewpub, not from a Bavarian brewhouse. Spend your time elsewhere...
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 MoritzF (7402) - Bochum, GERMANY - DEC 21, 2006
(bottle, traded with joss) Hazy, pale orange colour with a medium-sized, non-persistent foamy white head. Sweet fruit-accented aroma of lemon zest with light spicy notes. Light-sweet flavour, citrus-fruity and wheat-malty taste, not very yeasty; light bodied with a moderate carbonation for a Hefeweizen; sweet and slightly sour finish with clovy spice. Uncommon Hefeweizen, but not that challenging.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Papsoe (22983) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUL 30, 2005
UPDATED: OCT 14, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Oddly pale for a German wheat, which are usually more deep orange. This looks more like a Belgian. Very light and sour, a bit flat and entirely without the fruit that usually characterizes a Hefeweizen. A good thirst quencher and definitely different but yet, not that characteristic. 180404
