COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular.
A golden brown bitter. Full body and an excellent balance of malt and hops. The generous blend of the best English full cone hops gives it the satisfyingly long finish.

Cask (handpump) at the Great British Beer Festival Day 2, August 2009. Amber colour. Not much condition. Sweetish. Some acetone in the aroma. A slight sour edge to the flavour. I like Felstar as a brewery and although their beers can be a little hit and miss, the majority are usually hits for me. However, on this showing, I wasn’t too impressed with this one. I wonder whether something might have gone wrong with the conditioning. Flagged for re-rate..

Cask at GBBF 2009, 5th August 09. Hazy amber. Grassy hop nose and similar flavour. Very hoppy for a UK bitter and it works - loads of flavour for a 3.4% beer. A perfect session beer for hopheads. An aside: I went to school in Felsted but back then I generally drank cheap vodka!

Cask @ GBBF 09, Great British Beer Festival, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, England.
Clear medium yellow orange color with a small, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, overripped apples. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is flat. [20090805]

A Mes rate. Gravicask at GBBF.
Pale amber coloured, very thin off white head. Fruity and herbal with some faint caramel from the malt and just a lick of hops. Sweetish finish. Had better from Felstar but it’s not offensive.

Golden body. Mild fruity hops in aroma and flavour sustained by earthy malts. Rather low hop rate. Smooth on the palate. Thin bodied. Drinkable, but anonymous (Sampled from gravicask at GBBF 05.08.2009).

Cask@GBBF 2009. Clear amber color, no head. Woody hoppy aroma. Woody hoppy flavor. This is also a bit caramelly. Aftertaste is a bit on sweet side too. Decent body for 3.4% beer.
