JorisPPattyn (4514), Antwerpen, Belgium Sep 16, 2007 Cask Fluffy beige head; foxy-chestnut, fully clear beer. Immediate, and unmistakably: old hops, but still grapey. It lends the beer a lambic-y smell, without the Brett characteristics, not really sourish. Sweet-ish taste, caramel-y but with a sudden bitterkick in the palate. Port-like hint at sweetness, but dry, dry sultanas. Terribly complex. Very slick & syrupy. Much bitterness in the aftertaste. Extremely interesting beer, one to try. Completely different from ANY IPA I knew.
