Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - Chelmsford BF. Impossible to categorize. I doubt very much this is a true lager beer. There was no noticeable wheat and not enough fruit to qualify it as a fruit beer. What it was was a rich red coloured beer with some cherry brandy character. The aroma was fruity but beery. The taste had some fruit (I thought strawberries) but otherwise just seems like a standard ale. A gimmick to be hones but it wasn’t bad.

Bottle. Hazy red golden with a smallish head. Very fruity aroma,especially orange zest. Orange flavours, a bit astringent. A bit original, yes, but not convinced about the quality.

Cask@Chelmsford Beer Festival. Yeah, as maeib says, impossible to categorise. Quite a nutty malt character, with an orangey hop finish. Little evidence of any estery wheat characters. Some citric (orangey bitterness in the finish).

Cask conditioned Chelmsford beer festival, 2006. Dark red coloured. Full malty body with some spice and fruit (grape) character. Rather enjoyable.
