Pint Newcastle area. Pours dark gold with a think creamy head. Taste is fruity/citrus with distinct lemon, moderately bitter finish. Pretty enjoyable I could drink a few of these.

Bottle at ronnie’s, bottle conditioned. Aroma is citrus, hop resins, grassy malt and nutty malts. Taste is a similar bag of tricks, a very bitter finish.

Cask@GBBF2007. Amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is wooden, caramelly and slightly fruitish hoppy. Flavour is wooden, roasted, slightly leathery and some sourish notes. Dry grassy bittery aftertaste.

Cask, GBBF 2007. Murky gold, no head. Nose is caramely biscuit malt. Mouth is bitter bite then caramel biscuity. Finishes dry and hint of malt. Bit crap.

A Mes rate: Gravicask at GBBF. Murky amber colour. Sickly, pukey aroma with some barely detectable malt underneath. Peaty and earthy flavour with a bitter finish.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Wig and Pen Northampton. A copper coloured beer with an off-white head. The aroma is a nice balance of malt and hop with some smoky character. The taste also has that smokiness together with a reasonable bitterness. Interesting and tasty.

Bottle condition BBE March 2007. Hazy copper colour with lasting off white head. Plastic/rubber hop/yeasty aroma. Some fruity malt. Decent bitter, but the plastic just dominates too much.

DruncanVeasey (5150) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Prem, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - SEP 30, 2006
Deep amber, slightly murky specimen. Bitter but syrupy. Far too much alcohol-sodden fruit for an ale of the ABV. Lifeless, run-of-the-mill IPA with an unpleasantly lingering bitterness. Draught pint at The Merchant.

Cask, Rugby Fest 06. Amber/gold with a bubbly head. Aromas are caramel malts with sweet weetabix. Quite soft. Flavours are sweet caramel malts with some spices. Dry and bitter towards the finish. Not very complex. Average.
