3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 tgncc (2296) - Bellmore, New York, USA - JAN 10, 2010
The nose is malty, honey, lemon. Clear pale yellow, white head. The flavor is like lemonade and honey mixed in with a pale lager. Although beer comprises 70% of the beverage, it’s not obvious from drinking it. The finish has no bitterness, just a sweet lemony aftertaste. Different. Not unenjoyable, just not what I would normally seek out in a beer. I guess you could serve this to a DD at a party or something.

Pours a very nice yellow with a very small head with some small lace. The aroma is very tart and lemony like a very nice lemon candy. I expected zero beer character in this but there is a nice malty sweetness along with the tart lemon candy like flavors. There is a little bit of bitterness too, I would imagine that this is from lemon peel or something aside from hops. This is a damn fine soda but I wouldn’t really want a fully fermented beer to taste like this. JediMindTricks said it right when he said that it is what it is and this is pretty damn tasty as it is.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 10/20 Rciesla (5499) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - SEP 14, 2009
Bottle thanks to Andy for pointing out this tick. A golden cider like body with a thin yellow white head. A sweet berry, lime, tart apple-ish aromatic character. Starts off lightly sweet with a hint of a dry marshmallow like pasty but very dry sweetness. Just a hint of lime or lemon bitterness to boot. Fine for a soda sure, as for a beer well that’s another story.

Found this in the soda section of a beer store, and I will rate it as such. Not really a beer at all, this really is just a soda, whether they call it a traditional ale or not. There is some beery taste in there, a little bit of malt, and a lot of kefir lime leaf and lemon zest. Great, spritzy body, quite sweet but rather enjoyable as a soda. As a beer this would be pretty shit but I ain’t drinkin’ it as a beer, am I?
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 DeanF (1543) - Nunavut, CANADA - JUL 16, 2009
Nice sweet taste, beer is noticeable on the back end only. Highly drinkable, aroma is more juice than beer.

275ml bottle from Waitrose. Amber with a fast-fading white head; lemon aroma with some grain; sweet lemon flavour with some underlying malts; some lemon zest to finish. Surprisingly good, clean tasting and clearly made with real beer.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Drake (6507) - Ivy, Virginia, USA - MAY 31, 2009
275 mL bottle from Wine Warehouse in Charlottesville, VA. Pours lighter than expected.. a medium amber color with a bit of a head. Aroma is lemon, tea and other citrus notes. Taste is sweet with big citrus notes and a bit of tea, ginger and cola. This comes across much like carbonated lemon tea to me. Prevalent but soft carbonation. A bit sticky and medium bodied.

Orange-golden body with a small white head. Interesting aroma, better than other radlers. So not a detergent citrus perfume...It is like a lemon flavored acid drop with some caramel malt. The flavor is similar as the aroma. Citrus and sweet like in an acid drop, some malt and caramel. Interesting one, but rather a soft drink.

The aroma is what I expect a shandy to smell like. It has lemon, cereal grain, and caramel. The appearance is dark gold with a fizzy head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is thin but acceptable for the style. Overall it’s a good shandy and really easy to drink.

Saw this at a local organic bakery, and "Shandy with traditionally brewed beer" jumped out at me from the label. At only 0.5% ABV this qualifies as a low alcohol beer.
Served in a Liefmans flute, it poured a yellow gold, slightly orange at the top, and a paler shade of yellow at the meniscus of the glass. Carbonation trails raced through it, with some CO2 clinging to the sides, with spotty lacing. Head retention was actually decent, and not fizzy like soda. Lemon tonic water aroma, slight sweetness of lemonade. Authentic lemon juice citrus flavor, mildly sweet, with a pale malt aftertaste, and lingering lemon peel bitterness. Somewhat prickly carbonation without feeling gassy or fizzy. Overall very traditional without any artificial impression.
