COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fuller bodied brown ale with a slight caramel & chocolate undertone and a distinct nutty aftertaste. This is a balanced fellow that is approachable, but donít mess with him, or youíll get the horns.

[ As Fenton Staggering Bull Imperial Nut Brown ].
Unclear dark brown color with a small large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, nutty - nuts, caramel, chocolate, tart berry - licorice. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light acidic with a average to long duration, sweet malt, nutty, caramel, chocolate, tart - sour malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. tap at 2012 michigan winter beer festival. Brown with minimal head. Huge rubbing alcohol thing going on. Caramel malt and light nut flavor, but this is just way overdone.

I had this on tap as a sampler at the brewery. Pours a dark brown color with a healthy white foam head. I didnít get very much of an aroma, perhaps some malts and nut. Taste is malty and nutty. Has a light, watery mouthfeel. This reminds me of a Guinness, both in looks, feel, and taste, but adds a bit more than the Irish Stout. Overall this is decent, but I might need to try it as more than a sampler next time.

On tap at The Wurst bar on March 3. The pour is dark brown, with some deep mahogany brighter spots throughout. There is a light tan head, fading quickly, and no lace. The aroma is definitely nutty. Mostly hazelnuts, Iíd imagine. There is a light hint of chocolate as well as some even lighter traces of coffee. The flavor is surprisingly a bit hoppy, which wasnít detected in the nose. The hazelnuts come back about half way through to even it out a bit. There is a little bit of booziness present that fades out, leaving a little hint of chocolate. The mouth feel is quite light, thin, and the aftertaste is dry and has a nutty linger that hangs around.
