A crisp and refreshing lager of medium body with a definite malt character. A distinct hop aroma of lemon and sherbet is achieved with a generous infusion of the Japanese bred Sorachi Ace hop at the end of the boil.

Had this on tap at feral. Nice yellow straw colored pour. Mild citrus and bready malts. Light and refreshing brew. Fairly balanced. Nice enough

200mL sample at the brewery, pours light straw with a nice white head. Slight aroma of lemon sherbert which sort of follows through to the flavour although it is very light.

Tasting from mid 2011. On draught @ Feral Brewing Co., Baskerville.
Produced up a bright, medium gold adorned by a sloppy, messy head of foam that frosts up the glass as it empties. Nose has candied lemon and tangerine, cracked, black pepper and a touch of Summer grain amongst some fresh herbal notes. Quite grainy, gritty and dusty in the mouth, nice level of malt, dry. The body is light but controlled and comfortable with adequate carbonation making it race across the palate. Hops come in late, moderately bitter with tangy citrus and herbal notes lasting long afterwards. An easy drinker with good hop and malt definition. One I would like to see again, even if it was apparently just a lagered version of their 983 Pale Ale!
