COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Boris is a jet black colour with an off-white head. The aroma is dark chocolate and coffee. The flavour starts like espresso then fades to a multitude of toasty, roasty and caramel malt flavors. Clean and crisp, full- bodied. Warmth from the high alcohol content lightens up the feel.

BOTTLE. Oil black pour with thick mocha head.. Thick burnt malty nose with oats & almost a betadine touch at the back.. Dark malt base, creamy texture leads to coffee vibes & dark booze warmth.. Sourced Cellarbrations @ Capel

330mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out rich roasted malt upfront, with a fairly prominent espresso quality and some light toasted caramel. Flavour is along the same lines, with espresso and roasted malt upfront, low-medium sweetness, and a cocoa-y dry and roasty finish. Medium-bodied for the style. Well-rounded and robust. Excellent.

Dark brown, inky body with no head. Has a sweet, molasses aroma with a touch of creosote. Soft body. On the palate, has dark brown sugars, light fruitiness. Sweet finish, again with nice sticky sugars.

Tasting at Matt’s
Black color, oily, no head. The aroma is based on dark bread, some coffee, light glue. The flavor has dark chocolate character, light residual sweetness, hints of tobacco, and a bit more evident liquorice.
Nice.

Poured an opaque black with a three- to four-finger tan coloured dense foam head that retained very well and laced very well. Carbonation low. Aroma of sweet dark chocolate plus hints of coffee, brown sugar/caramel and vanilla. Taste of very sweet dark chocolate, dark fruits and soft toffee tones; no prominent roasted notes; low bitterness; very nice rich taste. Heavy body. Smooth becoming thick and syrupy as it warms and with a sweet finish. Nice - one to sip and savour!

330 ml bottle from Grand Central Cellars in Brisbane. Pours jet black with mild white head that dissipates quickly. Mild aroma. Coffee and chocolate flavours are well blended with toasted malt. Overall, a crisp finish for a sweet stout. Very enjoyable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

An enjoyable stout with interesting flavours on the nose. Nice roasted malts with a mild fruit nose too. The taste is silky and smooth but does end a bit early for me. Overall is a good drink. Hides the booze well.

Nutty and roasted prune aroma. Pours dark brown with thick dark beige head. Burnt malt on the tongue, sweetness just right with dark chocolate with a coffee shot. Tastes pruney with hops. Very disappointing when the glass runs dry!

Vom Fass. Tief schwarzes Bier mit Kaffee artigem braunen cremigem Schaum. Optisch schon mal super! Komplexer Duft. Röstmalz, Rhum, Kaffee, Rosinen, Vanille. Süss-saurer Antrunk. Dann viel Kaffee. Vanille Finish.
