Bottle with thanks to maneliquor. Pours a hazy golden straw colour with decent somewhat off white head. Plenty of yeast on the nose with the sour orange of the sorachi ace coming through. Flavours show some bitterness before a touch of sour bitterness come through near the finish. Medium to thin mouthfeel.

On tap at harts pub at the rocks Sydney. It is sweet with Wheat, lemon dominating the taste. Not being a big fan of these types of beers, it was still refreshing.

ALLOVATE (1716) - Butler, WA, AUSTRALIA - FEB 20, 2012
Draught @ Feral Brewing Company, Baskerville.
Hazy, pastelly yellow orange body crowned by a solid, glossy white pad that holds on tight for the length. Pale candi and yeast on first whiff. Second brought doughy ripe fruit like canteloupe, peach and guava, with a tangy citrus edge. Sweet and sour combo in the mouth. Drawn, sour citrus notes meet sweet candyish fruits with a hint of vanilla. Light astringent, vinous bite in back sinks under subtle herbal and leafy hop notes to finish rather dry. Quite soft in mouthfeel with little length. This quite refreshing and makes good use of the hops against a Belgian yeast, works well.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of bluebetty. Pours a cloudy golden with an off-white head. Some initial yeast in the nose but then comes the Sorachi Ace comes through. Medium body, heavy tropical fruit notes, a little yeast and then a solid bitterness. Just proves that Sorachi Ace works well with Belgian yeast also. 140212
