4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: AUG 5, 2013 Tap at feral. One of my favorite ipas. Pour is golden with a fluffy white head. Lots of passion fruit and citrus in the aroma..almost jumps at you. Taste is like a tropical hoppy fruit juice with a dry bitterness rounding off the taste nicely. Goes down so easily. One of the best beers you could ever drink ticks all the boxes.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A-- Orange brown color with only a white film for head. Head retention was excellent and it left lacing all the way through drinking. Clear body and showed very little carbonation. Thought it was a bit cold when poured.
S-- Pine, grapefruit and a bit of a floral orange lemon smell. Grapefruit and pine most dominant.
T-- Once again grapefruit and pine. Very forward hoppy taste and pretty aggressive. A lot like US Western IPA’s. A nice change from the usual English style IPA’s that are available in Sydney.
M-- Lower medium carbonated and a lot of oily citrus resin with this. Flavor is excellent and lasts a while. Not as much pine in the finish as had hoped, more lemon, orange and grapefruit centered.
D-- Good replication of a US IPA.

UPDATED: DEC 27, 2012 Best aroma evr. ACTUALLY smells like tropical fruit, particularly passionfruit. Other than that, just a very sessionable ipa, which is no small feat. Goes down a treat with the hyde park hotel?s 15dollar wings on a thursday

Awesome beer, great long lasting malt sweetness, hops are endless. Had a big session on this the only reason I stopped , I was full, could keep drinking all night. Balenced bitterness.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
330ml bottle. Pours a clear golden amber, with a small white head, which does not last all that well, but does leave decent lacing. Pine needles and a faint hint of resin sit over a blend of caramel and white bread malt on the nose. Pine needle and lime hops up front give way to a mix of white bread and pizza crust malt notes. There is a touch of pine resin in the finish and a slight lime and pine aftertaste. With so many IPAs out there to choose from, this beer just doesn’t quite cut it. It isn’t too bad, but it lacks serious hops presence, and is let down by a light and lager-ish body.

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: MAR 3, 2013 Bottle. This beer has grown on me, it has a good hop presence - perhaps a little too much towards the pine needles than the citrus - and a lovely lingering finish. It doesn’t score higher because it is a long way off some of the really good local IPAs on offer esp NZ ones.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20

Very pleasing hop aroma of citrus and pine needles. Good colour. Good mouthfeel with medium carbonation, with a big hop kick at the end.

Pours lightly with very little head. Looks thick. Should let bottle settle for 2mins before pouring. Very pleasant initial taste but beautiful citrus and passionfruit experience at back end. Heavy at almost 6%.
