COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An India pale ale to round off the current selection of Feral pale ales. Hophog is an American-style IPA with strong pine needle and citrus aroma followed by an aggressive bitterness and a dry finish.

Editor’s note: also known as American IPA, back label.

A hop forward IPA that can match it with the American produced IPAs. Lovely citrus aroma, appropriate bitter finish. One of the best Australian IPAs.

One of my favorites. Fresh off tap at the brewery is the best place to try it. Bottled is ok if you can find it fresh, but not the same. Pours dark amber with a large off white head. Quite cloudy, massive hoppy aroma, strong pine needle and citrus hop hit followed by a complex caramel malt and long bitter finish. If you are visiting Perth, a trip to this brewery is a must.

Bottle poured a clear amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of biscuit, grapefruit, earthiness and pine. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, earthiness, light grapefruit and light pine with a crisp dry finish.

Bottle, Orange pale colour pours a fluffy smallish head. Fruity aroma, medium body. starts off with a sweet taste then hits you with an explosion of fruity and bitteness of intense hops, delicious beer ,one of my favorite.

Orange/copper with a white head. Aroma is chock full of citrus and pine hops, a decent helping of caramel malt. Medium body that has a smooth carbonation level. Flavor lacks the punch that the aroma has, but is still quite nice. Sweet malts, pine, candied citrus fruit. A very enjoyable IPA.

Bottle bought in Brisbane, August 2014. A bit hazy golden/orange with a small white head. Aroma of hops, grass and some grapefruit. Similar taste, also some mango. The finish was medium bitter. A descent one.

Had this many times over recent years. I personally think its over rated. Weak aroma and a bit thin in the mouthfeel. Also a funny ester coming through over the hops also. Feral are a solid brewery though.

Beautiful floral scent - perfectly weighted, definitely the strength of the beer. Appearance is nothing to write home about, not quite a 2 but under carbonated and a reasonable but not exciting caramel colour. Lack of carbonation makes for very easy palate, silky but not overly saliva inducing. Very easy to drink, perhaps not hippy enough to deserve name but definitely present. Smoky vanilla initial taste with a definite hay after - very sessionable.

Pouring a medium pale colour with a fluffy off white head. Peach and passion fruit aroma, quite sweet and fruity on the tongue. A lotta late addition and dry hopping going on here. Great beer. Love it
