A golden, lightly filtered ale that has a low bitterness but retains Feral’s signature floral American hop aroma.

First thing that strikes you are those floral hops. Slight citrus, vanilla smell. Smooth on first taste. Almost a crisp, icy sense on middle tongue. Slightly underwhelming finish. Got the Feral malts. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours gold with a small head. Nose shows grassy and spicy hops, soft light malt and hay. Similar flavours with the same spicy hop notes and some light sweet pilsner-like malt followed by an assertive bitterness. Nice moderately light body, could use a bit more carbonation though.

Bottle - pours light gold with a nice dense layer of bubbles. Lots of hops-resin, nettles, floral. Taste is nicely balanced not as sharp as the Roma first suggested, up front taste is peach with a long transition to a moderately dry finish. Mouthfeel is creamy. Great beer!

Strong floral aroma of hops, crisp clean flavours, very thin white head and a clear pale yellow colour. It’s pretty good.

From a 330ml bottle on 12/1/2014. Pours a clear light golden with a thick white head and lots of bubbles. Has a very pleasant floral aroma with some passionfruit. The flavour features bready malt with lots more citrus, tropical and stone fruit (lemon, peach and more passionfruit). Finishes with some firm bittering hops. Has a medium body and very lively carbonation (could probably use just a touch less). This is a very nice, refreshing brew which would be just perfect for a summer session.

UPDATED: JAN 17, 2014 Bottle. Gold with a white head. Aroma of grapefruit, herbs, white grapes, some honeyed hay and tropical fruits. Light-bodied,moderate carbonation. Sweetish with hay, light biscuit, some honey. All very light and clean, so when the bitterness and citrus and tropical flavours come along they just charge through. Dryish finish. Very good summer drinking. [3.4] A few more of these. Just a bump to overall score.

I consider this beer Feral’s attempt to win over your average beer drinker who only sticks to the standard lagers you see at every pub in Australia. I’ve rated the beer accordingly. I tried it out of the tap at the Hop House on Darby Street, Newcastle. I’d much prefer to drink their Golden Ace or better still their Hop Hog IPA but this is a very subtle easy drinking beer that I would happily drink again. It reminds me a lot of a Stone & Wood Pacific Ale. If you want a lot of flavour you need to look elsewhere.
