3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Hazy copper with a decent, off-white head. Belgian yeast character, berry fruits, caramel and a hint of spice, leading to a dryish finish. Very good.

On tap at Archive Beer Boutique. Hazy honey amber colour with a low level layer of white foam. Lots of fruitiness in the aroma and also tropical fruit in the flavour with a sweet finish.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: APR 26, 2013 Tap at Feral. Looks exactly like their rye ipa, copper with lots of lacing and dense white head. Bubblegum and citrus swamp the nose giving it quite a sweet and fruity aroma to it. Loads of tropical fruits and a nice touch of belgian yeast in the taste. Dominated by tropical and citric fruits with a hint of spice and pepper throughout. Sweet bitter finish with soft and spritzy carbonation. Bloody fantastic. Bottle is not quite as good as it was on tap. Still great but more Belgiun focus rather than huge hops

Tried on tap at Feral. Solid white head, rings of lacing on a golden body. Came across a little sweet to me, also resinous with a bit of pepper in the aftertaste. Belgian ipa.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, 7.6%.ABV Just hazy amber with an inch of off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit, peach, dough and yep bubblegum. Creamy mouthfeel, moderate carbonation. Sweet with loads of fruit and some dough. Citrus cuts through and the finish is bitter and resiny with a little pepper and vanilla. Tasty, well balanced, very dangerously drinkable. Delivers.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draught @ Feral Brewing Company, Baskerville.
First beer of the day and easily the highlight. Produced up a sunny orange copper. Radiant, with a tight bead and sticky, dense white pad atop. Whole hop nose is piney, camphorous and citric with a bitter orange and grapefruit edge and sweet inklings of Hubba Bubba™ bubblegum and Starburst™ fruit chews. Belgian yeast and notes of rock candi come through up front giving it a supple sweetness before all hops carry it into the swallow. Really holds up well as it warms, fresh, tangy and oozing with tropical fruit esters. Moderate bitterness on the peak sees floral, zingy, rose petal musk and pinewood come through before a fruity, Belgian yeast blend in the swallow. Holds the alcohol scarily at bay; creeps up with its paws out. Malt backbone not to be forgotten as its firm and well rounded in mouthfeel. Deadly sessionable stuff that even had my partner hooked. Another bloody good ale from Feral!

UPDATED: MAY 16, 2013 On tap at the Alehouse Project. Interesting and complex, with balance. Aromas of caramel, dough, and peach. Taste is sweet, sour, and long lasting. Creamy, with a full body. Amber, with a frothy head.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours deep amber with a large fading head.
Very heavy phenols on the nose along with herbal and earthy hops and a funky Belgian doughy yeast note.
Very hoppy flavours but sticking to herbal, earthy and spicy varieties. Some subtle sweet malt and floral notes followed by an assertive but well-balanced bitterness.
Feels a bit syrupy.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very much the real deal. Spicy malt on the nose is a little reminisce of saison. Carries through to the palate well and hops become more assertive and aggressive. Good length and drive. The spice and pepper is very well handled and quite a highlight.
