4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Aroma - Out of a XL5 tasting glass - Nice american hop aroma with a big bubblegum eastery yeasty explosion
Appearance - Slightly yeasty and a bright golden hue
Taste - Nicely balanced between high alc, belgian yeast esters and american hops and sweet candy sugar.
Palate - Great body and nicely balnced
Overall - A cracking belgian IPA that lives up to what it says it is.

UPDATED: MAY 16, 2013 On tap at the Alehouse Project. Interesting and complex, with balance. Aromas of caramel, dough, and peach. Taste is sweet, sour, and long lasting. Creamy, with a full body. Amber, with a frothy head.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a cloudy amber colour with a thin head that holds relatively well. A moderate level of carbonation. An odd mix of a Belgian yeast aroma and flavour with a strong hop punch, typical of IPA’s. Belgian candied sugar and spices mix well with an almost citrus flavour peeping through. A warming alcohol mouthfeel to finish. A very complex and delicious brew

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
From a 330ml bottle on 11/4/2013 (ABV listed as 7.6%, not 7.2%). Pours a cloudy dark golden with a small head. Has a lovely aroma with is fruity, floral and a little hoppy, with a touch of Belgian yeast and honey. In the mouth, it begins sweet, with loads of tropical and stone fruit (I get a lot of pineapple, apricot and mango), and more honey. This is balanced by a firm, satisfying bitterness with some grapefruit notes. This is all set against an ever so subtle spicy/peppery background. The body is quite full and the carbonation relatively lively. This is a terrific, complex and unusual brew which comes together beautifully. Great work by Feral.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Hazy amber with a tight thin head, with perfect lacing.
Amazing Belgium yeast aromas, strong hop presence, spices, straw and a hint of bread.
Thick and chewy, heavy candy sugar and malts, with a slight toast. Hop resins mix nicely with the Belgium style spices, cutting through the sweetness perfectly.
The finish is velvety smooth but a great kick of alcohol and hop bitterness, a killer Belgium IPA.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: MAR 16, 2013 Tap at feral. Wow this awesome. Nose full of citrus fruits and spice. Taste blends the citrus and spices well together. Bubblegum comes through in the taste almost like hubba bubba!! Tropical fruits and a nice malt backing finishes it off. Pretty easy on the palate too good sharp bitterness. 8.5% alc hidden well. Great beer feral rarely disappoint.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draught @ Feral Brewing Company, Baskerville.
First beer of the day and easily the highlight. Produced up a sunny orange copper. Radiant, with a tight bead and sticky, dense white pad atop. Whole hop nose is piney, camphorous and citric with a bitter orange and grapefruit edge and sweet inklings of Hubba Bubba™ bubblegum and Starburst™ fruit chews. Belgian yeast and notes of rock candi come through up front giving it a supple sweetness before all hops carry it into the swallow. Really holds up well as it warms, fresh, tangy and oozing with tropical fruit esters. Moderate bitterness on the peak sees floral, zingy, rose petal musk and pinewood come through before a fruity, Belgian yeast blend in the swallow. Holds the alcohol scarily at bay; creeps up with its paws out. Malt backbone not to be forgotten as its firm and well rounded in mouthfeel. Deadly sessionable stuff that even had my partner hooked. Another bloody good ale from Feral!
