ALLOVATE (2620) - Perth, - OCT 12, 2012
On draught @ Sail & Anchor, Fremantle.
Produced up a pastel, opaque yellow with a whispy head of white. Aroma is sour, hairy, Brettanomyces fuelled (?), fruitful but ill defined, acidic and quite lactic. A strange ride between Greek yoghurt and the white of the watermelon. Sour, tart, mildly hairy with supple citrus, and lactic, yoghurt notes. Spritzy and light but yet full in finish. A flavour of cucumber dominates Ė question mark. Lemon zest lingers amongst the yeasty yoghurt notes. This is strangely addictive stuff though my notes have very little positives. I liked it. It excites the taste buds. I give it two thumbs up and donít know why!!

On tap at Archive. Pours cloudy and golden with fluffy white head. More tart than I was expecting and didnít detect much remnant of watermelon. Once I got into it, I found it really quite refreshing.

Muggus69 (1529) - Yarram, Vic, AUSTRALIA - JUN 14, 2015
Draught @ GABS Melbourne 2015 Pale looking cloudy thing Smelss sour, lactic, citrus, watermelon gone bad. Light, very tart/sour, lingering on the palate. Comparisons to sour Warhead candies are apt here - lightly acidic, odd candy (water)melon flavour in there. Bit hard to drink, intense!

Niksko (480) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - JUN 7, 2015
Cloudy light golden, a little fizzy white head. Nose lots of lactic tartness, slight grain, maybe a hint of aromatic melon. Flavor is really sharply tart, mouth puckering, a little watermelon. Light, medium carb. Really great and refreshing.

Looks like alkaline solution. Aroma is off cheese plus watermelon. Love the taste - watermelon subtlety and strong short sour hit. Good medium carbonation. Nice Berliner!

A smack-in-the-face-sour with a subtle hint of something special (watermelon). Given the low alcohol content this is one to have another of for sure (in my book).

On tap at The Archive for Armakeggon. Pours clear and champagne, it tastes just like a watermelon warhead! A bit too sour to drink a lot of but very interesting indeed.

PAle gold with no head. Aroma was watermelon, slightly citrusy. Taste was sour, wheaty. Really not my cup of tea so a hard one to rate

On tap at Brewski. Rating from early May 2014. Waited a long time to try this and wasnít disappointed. Big flavour for such a low alcohol beer.

A polarising brew - donít know what the aim is here - sour... I get that but just not a great drink - and not beer as we know it, Jim...
