Our White Beer is produced in the true Belgian style with 50 percent barley and 50 percent wheat and an imported Belgium yeast strain. The beer is left unfiltered and deliberately cloudy so as to allow the yeast characteristics to dominate. Coriander and orange peel are added during the boil to contribute a spicy citrus flavor. Silver Medal 2003 Australian International Beer Awards.

Note: The bottled version is brewed and bottled by AIB.

Quite offensive. A salty, metallic aftertaste overwrites what few positives this beer possesses.

Taken bottled 33 cl. cold from Liquor Store in Murwillumbah. Appearance: pale yellow, haze and cloudy. White foam disappeared quickly. A hint of sourness and spicy in aroma, confirmed lately in taste. It seems more a saison yeast strain than a witbier/blanche one. Probably fermented at higher temperatures. Citrous and spicy flavour but with some tart that, with overcarbonation, unbalance the palate. Could be better but is drinkable. could work with a pure saison strain.

4.9%ABV. Witbier. Sweet malty water biscuit aroma, a little floury. Yeasty nose. It’s a witbier alright. Flour, bread and crackers predominate Mouthfeel is a little soapy. Tastes like hoegaarden, kronenbourg blanc.

From bottle in weizen glass. Golden colour with head that dissipated quickly so may have been past its prime. A bit tart on the tongue at the end.

330ml bottle into weizen glass. Pours with an ENORMOUS white head ( German style) which shows no sign of dissipating. Nose is sweet wheat with slight hops. Cloudy pale amber with a few bubbles tracing up the glass. Mouthfeel is creamy and mild. Nothing really strong in the taste department. Very late hop bitterness at the end. Looks the part but a bit boring.

Good beer for summer night. Not as light as a session beer but good candidate for it over couple of rounds of canape. Quite aromatic with refreshing citrus which pleasantly lasts on palate to leave slight sweetness. Very quaffable overall!

I dont drink wheat beers often but decided to try this one because of Feral’s reputable name. Poors a solid golden yellow with a lot of head, probably the best thing about the beer. An aroma of sour mash presents itself and upon tasting you’re met with a citrus punch and bitter finish. Not too bad, but Feral have done better.

330ml bottle. Pours a milky light gold colour with a disappointingly small head which disappeared quickly. Citrus orange, coriander and fruity aroma with some grain. The sweetness is nicely balanced by the zesty citrus. Light to medium body with a dry finish but leaves a nice fizz on the tongue. A pretty decent crack at a Belgian wheat beer and quite drinkable.
