Bottle and from the 10000litre tank at Australian independent Brewers. A good version of a Witbier.

In a tulip glass on tap at the Local Taphouse 20/3/13. Pours cloudy grey or pale straw colour, with a large white head that quickly sinks. Definite spiced yeasty aroma and a citrus quality - orange and lemon zest. The taste revels the inclusion of coriander in the brewing process, banana, and a bready undertone. It definitely ticks some boxes with regards to the Belgian wit style but the body is on the thin side with a slightly tart finish. Not my favourite style to begin with, it’s a little one dimensional.

Pours a hazy copper color with a fair head that fades to bits of lacing. Aroma of citrus, banana and spice, with a bit of malt sweetness. Taste of banana, malt sweetness, some spice and bit of grain. Mild bitterness and a fairly clean finish. Fairly moderate body, smooth with a decent balance. Nice beer for the style.

Cloudy yellow poor with no significant head. Pleasant enough spice and touch of coriander but not really my kind of beer.

Having read other reviews, I’d have to conclude that something went wrong. Smelled like sausage, tasted like sausage. Might have to try again and re-rate, but in the interim this is what it is, as the young people say.

From the bottle. Nice, spicy aroma, hints of coriander and yeast. Medium mouth feel. Finishes with definite sourness. Quite pleasant.

Tap the Rose and Crown. Pours a clear yellow with little to no head. Aromas of banana, bread and some orange. Taste has more bready yeasty tones coming through. Quite refreshing for a summer day. Not into wheat beers but this is ok.

Drank from the bottle. Cloudy in the bottle. Aroma of bread and citrus. Taste is sour with a sour aftertaste. I would call this as a light to medium bodied beer. It has a dry astringent texture with medium carbonation. The texture reminded me of Overall I liked this beer. It has a bit of the wheat features I like and also that of a nice mild barley beer. I liked the interesting sourness but the rest of the beer felt a bit confused between the two categories it seems to inhabit.

Cloudy gold pour with minimal head. Spicy, citrusy smell; taste is similar - good Belgian style wheat beer with coriander and citrus, bready. Slightly sour note on the finish. Note that I’d had one of these which I think was mislabelled - it poured and drank more like a lager, with no cloudiness or spice. The two I had from a different store were in line with this review
