COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our White Beer is produced in the true Belgian style with 50 percent barley and 50 percent wheat and an imported Belgium yeast strain. The beer is left unfiltered and deliberately cloudy so as to allow the yeast characteristics to dominate. Coriander and orange peel are added during the boil to contribute a spicy citrus flavor. Silver Medal 2003 Australian International Beer Awards.

Note: The bottled version is brewed and bottled by AIB.

UPDATED: APR 20, 2006 I really liked this stuff. Typical colour with a great creamy head. A great blend of cloves, tropical fruit juice, vanilla and lavender. Loads of wheaty flavour with a light icing sugar sweetness. The mouthfeel is the real feature here, though - it’s big and soft like a milkshake. Yummy stuff. I’m struggling to recall a Wit I enjoyed more than this... perhaps St Bernardus. Perhaps.
RR: Well I’ve found some more of this stuff and I’ve thought of a wit I liked more (Troublette, and I liked it a lot more.) Irregardless it’s still real good. There was some slightly dodgy meaty/gingery yeast but otherwise it was real good, and I’m assuming the yeastiness will settle with some bottle time.

This is a solid representation of the classic belgian white beer. Good spicy fruity flavour. Very refreshing. Great served with a slice of lemon. Maybe not quite the depth of some in this genre but a great effort from Feral. Strangely cloudy to the beer newbie but adds to the character of the beer.

330ml bottle. Golden and cloudy with a big white head, well carbonated with an aroam of citrus and coriander that has a good sweet balance. Clean and crisp with a good body and mouthfeel with citrus flavours that cling to the tongue and last on the palate.

Pours pale amber with a small lasting head. Nose shows coriander, citrus peel and some doughy wheat. Pretty spot on for the style, nice and refreshing. Same story with the flavours but with more of everything! Really quite nice. Great med-high carbonation and lightish body.

Tap. Great white ale. Aromas of coriander, citrus, and flowers. Taste is sweet, with a touch of sourness, and a dry finish. Palate is oily, and medium bodied. Pale yellow, cloudy, with a frothy head.

Bottle - Pours a hazy yellow, with a big white head. Some banana and clove and coriander, also a slight cardboard aroma. Citrus up front with some fruit also in the finish. Moderately dry up front with a decent finish. Creamy body with a moderate carbonation. Just picked this up randomly and it has way exceeded my expectations!

Good wheat. So much better from the tap then the bottle. 3 for bottle and 4 for tap. Spicy fruity flavour. Smells like sausage? Easy drinking.

Bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a white head. Smells of sweet coriander, doughy, some grainy hints. Tastes of citrus, coriander, some metallic notes on the finish.
