COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Close your eyes, take a sip…It’s like you’re in a biergarten in Germany! This German style unfiltered wheat has a pale golden straw color due to the use of 50% wheat malt in the recipe and the German yeast really shines through giving the beer a great banana/clove flavor and aroma.

Draft on tap at the brewery (Florissant, MO). Pours a bit of a cloudy golden amber hue, frothy whitish ring atop stays as a mellow layer, sticks around small and laces the same. Aromas throw a bit of fruit, flaked wheat and cool fruity sweetness. A touch of apple, faint lemon. Some honeycrisp apple, yeastiness and faint clove. Initial is fruity and lively, firmer apple and lemon, some bigger banana comes in with bread dough, fresh baked bread with touches of clove, flaked wheat. Middle is a touch sweet, gentle bit of boduy but more fruity overall. Backend shows a bit of dryness, yeast and gentle clove. Banana, touches of earth with a bit of sweetness, orange and yeastiness. A deadened nose, a bit sweet overall for me.

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy pale yellow with a a white head that dissipates nearly completely. Aroma has a light fruit note with a good amount of wheat and a touch of clove. Flavor has banana and light clove with a wheat note in the finish.

3oz on tap at the brewpub, during my stay in STL for RBSG. Totally hazy golden color. Thin ring of white head. Good banana, light spice flavor. Moderate sweet, sort of spicy flavor. Medium body. Smooth, kind of creamy citrusy spicy taste. Kind of grainy and spicy. Decent hefe.

Draft at Friendly’s, served in a pint glass. Pours a pale yellow-gold with a finger-plus of frothy white head. Notes of banana, bready and wheaty malts, light citrus, and clove. Light-bodied, with a wheaty mouthfeel and medium soft carbonation. Bartender tried to talk me out of it, but it’s actually a pretty good hefe.

This draft brew from the brewery poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were and left behind a softly carbonated hazy dark yellow colored body and a fair lacing. The mild aroma was malty and banana. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of wheat dough banana hops and malt. A decent one but not one that I would consider drinking again.

Tap @ Ferguson. Pours a hazy, dull yellow appearance with an off white head that has decent head retention. Somewhat spicy, white pepper, light grainy, boring aroma. Sweet banana, slightly spicy, sweet malty flavor. Pretty decent.

4 oz sampler at Ferguson. Pours a cloudy yellow color with white head. Wheat, yeasty, pizza dough flavors. Description says belgian style wheat, but it tastes like a shitty german hefe to me.

Tasted a sampler and it poured a hazy yellow with an off-white head. The aroma was smooth and it had a medium / light body. The finish was good, a decent beer.
