3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 thedm (4773) - Fort Wayne, USA - FEB 16, 2013
This draft brew from the brewery poured a small sized head of foamy white colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a very softly carbonated transparent golden red brown colored body and a fair lacing. The nice aroma was brown malt. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start mediumly tingly at the finish. The nice flavor contained notes of nutty toasted malt brown malt and hops. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again.

Tap @ Ferguson. Pours a hazy, burnt orange appearance with an off white head. Toasted malty, cracker, slightly woody aroma. Kind of chewy, nutty, cracker, light caramel, earthy flavor. Bleh.

Tap at the brewery. Poured a dark amber color with a tiny white head. Aroma was a bunch of malts, caramel, and butter. Flavor was toffee, some grapefruit, and caramel. Some mild hops in the finish. Solid beer, nothing to remember though by any means.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Bif (1023) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - DEC 2, 2011
On tap at the Ferguson Brewhouse. Served a clear dark amber color with a decent head and some lacing. Mild aroma of sweet malt, with a hint of grain.
Mild malt sweetness with a bit of bittersweet chocolate and a dry finish. Just a bit bland. Fairly light body, crisp and quite smooth. Hoped for a bit more character. Decent beer for the style.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 seymour (1099) - Saint Louis, Missouri, USA - NOV 4, 2011
Tasted on tap at the brewpub. Appeared fairly clear deep copper color with a dark reddish hue, some chill haze and weak beige foam, little lace. Aroma was mostly neutral but slightly toasty and roasty, barely a trace of malt or hops. The flavor was mild as well, bready but not very malty-sweet. Lacked complexity, except perhaps faint Munich malt melanoidins. Very light body, watery mouthfeel, crisp lager finish. This was a tasty low-gravity, roasty, dark lager, but not a great example of Munich Dunkel.

From a sampler. Dark rusty brown with not much head. Very little aroma. Had a big malty character, almost caramel but definitely not too sweet. True to form and not a bad beer.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Strykzone (3816) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - JUL 9, 2010
Dark brown with a little head. This beer is all about malt. I read that Saaz hops are added and that, being a hop I don’t care for, is usually identified. Not here. Sweet and rich malt with a hint of chocolate and some yeast. Another nice beer from this brewpub.
