3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft on tap at the brewery (Florissant, MO). Pours a deeper brownish hue, some nice haziness with nice ruby glow on the edges and bottom. Frothy offwhite headf atop films as a nice layer, looser ring stays subtle, mellow lacing overall. Aromas are a touch carmelized, a bit of biscuit, faint toast. Some gentle brown malt grows with nuttiness, earthy and semi sweet pecans, bit biscuity. Initial is medium bodied, some sweet pecan, a touch of caramel meets brown earthy malts quickly. Some cocoa powder, touches of caramel. Gentle body. Some sweetness, a bit of smoothed out caramel and pecan, a touch buttery with still firmer earth, brown malt and toastiness as we round the corner. The pecan is nice, a compliment rather than a trendsetter. A bit earthy, toasty and a bit bitter as we finish, lingering carmelized and brown malts hang on. This works, a bit dry, earthy as we end. Not necessarily my style but a solid beer I think. Nose a bit deadened.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Samples from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear amber with a a tan head this dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of dark grain with some light roasted malt and a bit of sweet pecan coming through. Flavor has a nice pecan and sweet dark grain combination with a touch of roast underlying.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
3oz on tap at the brewpub, during my stay in STL for RBSG. Mildly hazy amber color. Thin off-white head. Leaves loose bits of lace. Toasty spicy aroma. Earthy, kind of spicy. I don’t get too much pecan, wouldn’t notice it at all if it wasn’t in the name. Just tastes like an English brown ale, pretty much. Moderate sweet taste, light bitter. OK

3.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
This draft brew from the brewery poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a no visible carbonation very hazy light brown colored body and a good lacing. The mild aroma was malty. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a lingering malty aftertaste. The flavor contained notes of nutty roasted malt brown malt and hops. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pour is a brown with a slight tan head. Aroma is kinda nutty if you use your imagination. Flavor is about the same. Brown ale malt with a very slight nutty flavor. This was kinda meh. I was hoping for more of a pecan but its more of a blacn brown ale.
