3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 phaleslu (3544) - Saint Louis, USA - JAN 24, 2011
Draft sample in a sampler tray at the brewpub. Pours a clear amber color with a small white head. Aroma is big on brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg, along with apples, vanilla, and a light vegetal note. Flavor follows suit mostly, big with brown sugar, cinnamon, apples, and nutmeg, with underlying caramel malts, vanilla, earth, and pumpkin. Started to remind me of a bowl of Apple Cinnamon Cheerios after warming for a while. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a sweet, chewy mouthfeel. Just a little too much of the sweetness and spice for me, but otherwise this is a fun, in-your-face pumpkin ale.

Sample at beerfest. Poured a amber, brown color with a smaller off white head. Aroma was brown sugar, molasses and cinnamon. Flavor was spices, pumpkin, bread, nutmeg and sugar. Very spicy finish. Just above average beer.
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 vyvvy (2920) - Florissant, Missouri, USA - NOV 19, 2011
Sampled at Schlafly Fresh Hop fest (but far from a fresh hop beer) - Pours amber / copper with a beige head. The aroma has cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin, amber ale malt and graham crackers. Medium body with light carbonation. The flavor is watery and subdued compared to the aroma, but basically has the same traits. The finish is spicy and has veggie aspects. Decent pumpkin ale.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Bif (623) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - OCT 14, 2011
On tap at the Ferguson Brewhouse. Served a hazy Copper color with a nice head that fades to good lacing. Aroma of nutmeg, spice, malt sweetness and a trace of pumpkin. Taste of nutmeg, spices, some pumpkin and a bit of malt sweetness. Has a slightly spicy finish. Fairly Medium body, smooth with good balance. Nice pumpkin ale, enjoyable for one or maybe two at the most. May I have another slice?

It poured an amber color with a small off-white head. The aroma was of light pumpkin, strong nutmeg and a hint of cinnamon. The flavor was lightly sweet with caramel, nutmeg, cinnamon and pumpkin spice with a crisp finish. A very good pumpkin ale.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Strykzone (3133) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - OCT 29, 2010
Pint at the brewpub. Medium brown in color with a smallish tan head of large bubbles. A delightful aroma of sweet cinnamon and nutmeg. Pumpkin was there but was not as prominent as the spice. Flavor was almost as sweet with more pumpkin. Nutmeg followed by that cinnamon. Some very soft hops in the finish. Liked it so much I bought a growler for an upcoming Halloween party. It will be a hit there.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 sneagrams3 (2337) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - OCT 8, 2010
Tasted 10/3/10. Pint from the Brewpub. Filtered with an amber hue. Finger width of bone white head. Aromas of vanilla and cinnamon with a mild clove note. Medium to full bodied with a great flavor. The pumpkin is prevalent and dominant with a great spiced palate to back it up. Flavors of cinnamon, ginger, clove and all spice. It’s all there and it’s melded wonderfully. Good medium malt roast. Finishes smooth with lingering spices. Decent effervescence that lingers with the spices into the finish. Solidly produced and a great palate. Well hidden abv. Fresh and tasty!
