Cask-conditioned at the Wellington, Birmingham 12/08/08. This was recorded as 4.2% ABV in the pub, but every other source claims it is 4.5%. Opaque black with a moderate tan head. Bog aroma of coffee, liquorice and dark chocolate. Full mouth feel with plenty of bitter chocolate and roasted malt and a decent dry finish. Very enjoyable.

Cask handpull, The Pub, Leicester, 26/01/12. Deep black with an unmoving tan collar. Rich fudge, blackened barley aroma. Liquorice, buttery vanilla, fudge studded with raisin taste. Milky, mellow palate packed with character. Burnt nut finish, smoky linger. Sweet, fine stout- a bit Bajan, actually.

Cask, The Pub, Leicester. Black with a beige head. Aromas are dark chocolate and blackberry with coffee. Floral notes with cream and liquorice sweets. Earthy with some oily aspects. Flavours are coffee and cream with raisins and winter berries. Sweet fruitiness with medicinal notes. Hints of caramel and chocolate. Smooth yet peppery on the palate. A nice rich stout.

Cask (handpump) @ The Anchor Inn, Digbeth, Birmingham, England B5.
Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, burnt, dark chocolate, dark cacao, vanilla notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft to flat. Very nice ;o) (300708)
