No retention and no lacing. Smells of cereal, honey and grain. Tastes of sweet malt, cereal and light hops. No lasting aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pale gold, foamy white head, poor retention. Faint aroma of malt, grass, and honey. Taste is water, malt, and grass. Finishes with a slight hop bitterness. Thin, watery and average carbonation. Dull and uninspired. Pass.

A touch of hops in this, but rather disappointing overall. These are starter craft beers from Fernie. Sample at Flatlanders Beer Fest Winnipeg.

This one was... uneventful. It looked like an ale and went down like a ale but between the glass and the throat I sometimes forgot what I was drinking.

Blond color with small compact head. very correct pale ale, with hints of cereal, soft body, light residual sweetness, correct bitterness; malt and hops are soft. Clean beer. Should appeal to many people and to many situations.

Not bad, a golden amber body with a nice sized quick diminishing head. Aroma of light hops, taste of some malts and a little bitterness and hops at the finish. Basic pale ale.

Can 5%. Fernie Discovery Pack 3 of 4. Clear amber pour with a creamy whitish head, medium retention. Aroma is dry fragrant citrusy hops and caramel malts - mild citrus, mild honey, hint of vanilla and toffee. Taste is quite hoppy, with a hint of sweetness balancing an otherwise strong, dry finish. A decent ale of sorts, very true to the English style pale ale but certainly drinkable for North American pale lovers.

Pours a clear golden color with a small white ring. Aroma of faint sweet malt and sawdust. Taste is sawdust, a funky hop bitterness and water. Go back to the drawing board on this one.
