The Griz Pale Ale is a traditional pale ale brewed with a soft malt accent produced by using the finest imported malts and hops. Its deep amber colour is accentuated by a soft hop nose and balanced finish. Truly an ale lover’s ale for every occasion.

No retention and no lacing. Smells of cereal, honey and grain. Tastes of sweet malt, cereal and light hops. No lasting aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear golden pour with nice sized white head. Nose is fragrant hop with some hints of pine. Nice bite of hop on the front that mellows out to a malty finish and touch of grain.

tap at Wolf’s Den in Golden - Pours a clear, deep gold with a small off-white head. The aroma is mild with some malt and citrus. It tastes moderately bitter with cereal malt sweetness and some citrus. Medium bodied. Decent.

Clear golden yellow. Thick foamy head. Aroma is fragrant hops, tending towards the piney/citrusy section. Taste is hop forward, but balanced. A little soapy. Some cereal backing.

Can. Clear golden pour with a surprisingly thick, creamy, lasting off-white head. Light caramel, corn, grain, slight biscuit notes and hints of citrus. Pretty low carbonation and a dry finish. A pretty boring but perfectly decent craft pale ale.

poured at home from a 355 ml can. Cloudy yellow color with minimal head. Strong distinct hop smell with hints of citrus. Bitter aftertaste with hops and orange flavors. Delicious!

Can to Grolsch pint glass, the beer pours a transparent light yellow with a decent white head. The aroma is hop forward and carries cut grass and slight orange peel backed with light notes of grain...however it is faint. Taste is quite similar to the aroma with a light crisp hop bitterness backed by faint grain flavours. The beer is very agreeable to the palate and refreshing, but it lacks character. Almost too clean and watery. CO2 medium, body thin. Overall a simple pale ale, well executed, but plain.

On tap at St Augustine’s, pours a clear pale yellow with a medium white head. Aroma is light, with cereal and hay. Flavour is along the same lines, with cereal and other graininess. Pretty bland, but well-balanced enough and easy to drink. Boring pale.

355 ml can from a sampler twelve-pack from Sobeys Liquor outlet, served in an MLP Pinkie Pie shaker pint glass. Pours a brilliant golden color with moderate carbonation and a fine-frothed, bone-colored, moderately-lingering head with patchy, attractive lace. Floral, pine and lemon hop aromas dominate; citrus and pine come through softly in the flavor. Body is a little light, mouthfeel is good, and a mild bitter finish quickly and dryly dissipates - very refreshing. Not a spectacular pale ale, but a pleasant beer nonetheless, as a thirst-quenching change of pace from pale lagers on warm summer days. No need to fear this Griz - Fluttershy could take on this bruin just as easily as with Harry the Bear in the "Lesson Zero" episode.

Draft - Pale malts and some earthy hops.. Hazy gold with a rich white head. Citrus hops and pale malts. A decent APA, but nothing special.
