Draft at the brewery. Gold and bright, love the choices of hop and malt with pale malt and dry bitter hop profile with no estery hop and not a chewy PACNW IPA, it’s actually pale and more British in character, yay! Another that the cans/bottles don’t do it justice.

65 cl bottle, Calgary, AB, Canada via Coop. Slightly hazy light amber, nice but somewhat faint pine resin aroma. Medium body, sweet honey, then an herbal caramel finish. Not bad.

355 ml can poured at home. Hazy amber in color with a medium head. Nice hop smell and bitter aftertaste. I drank this after a Big Rock IPA and thought it was a much better homage to the genre. Thoroughly drinkable!

Can to Sam Adams fancy pint glass, beer pours a transparent orange-amber with a small white head. Aroma is weak...cut grass, quite floral, some citrus, pine, tree sap. Nothing to write home about. Taste is a nice hop bitterness with some caramel/toffee to back it up. Beer is very palatable and refreshing. Carb medium, thin bodied. Complexity is on the simple side. Overall, not too shabby, good execution, but nothing that makes it stand out. Forgettable.

Pours a clear orangish copper with a frothy white head. Aroma of citrus hops, pine, grapefruit and sweet pale malts. Taste is grapefruit, pine, citrus, caramel and sweet pale malts... Hops and malts are in great balance and there?s no astringency on the finish. Great well balanced ipa.

Pours a dark copper colour, thumb of fluffy head with solid retention and some nice spotty lacing. Tastes of citrus, pine, and balanced hop bitterness and malt. Excellent.

From a bomber shared. Pours a clear gold with an off white head. Light citrus nose. Flavors of spruce resin. Relatively thin mouthfeel. Bitter finish.

Darkish gold, not a very expressive nose, touch if berry. Fuller body, more malts than the pale, not a lot of hop character or bitterness, but the malts are actually really nice, with some good honeyish, biscuity character. Points off for not really being an IPA - not even by 1990s standards - but it’s a good beer.

Bottled sample. Gold in colour with fairly strong carbonation. Aromas are of pinecone, husky and caramel sweet malts, and a bit of floral hop. Light bodied with a grainy-caramel malt flavor profile. Some vague citrus notes are in play as well, but they’re pretty muted. Chunky bitterness. Not great overall.
