COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed right in the Canadian Rockies, Project 9 is a true Bavarian Pilsner with exceptional continental hop flavour that can only be achieved by a selection of fine noble hops including the Saaz variety. The use of Munich, Pilsner and Pale western Canadian malts and time honoured brewing methods produces a clean, crisp Bavarian Pilsner that is truly transcendent.

A relatively average pilsner... Great brewery overall. I would buy this again.

Clear as day, as expected. Aroma is a bit of grass and bread. Taste is moderately sweet with a bit of metal on the finish.

Appearance: Diluted honey thinly poured over bushel of wheat. Broken foam mosaic balanced between shattered tiles and dust.... Aroma: Gritty wheat and grain interspersed with orange rinds, peanuts noble hops. Airborne spice circles overhead on wafts of bubblegum... Taste: Lightly bitter grass gently folds in velvet gloves. A grocery store’s bulk section collage of grains, nuts and assorted musty earth pearls then emerge from the back of the palate. A few flecks of metallic rust return the movement to the dry ground....

Looks like a pilsner, tastes like a pilsner. Has a slight off sweet (?) aftertaste. Could definitely spend a summer day in the Canadian Rockies drinking this beer!

355ml can. Pours a clear pale yellow with a medium, frothy, long lasting, white head that laces. Mild aroma of grass, grain and bread. Sweet flavour of grainy malt and grassy hops with a dry, clean, crisp, mildly bitter finish. Light body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Pretty good as far as pilsners go. I was pleasantly surprised.

On tap in Golden at Golden Taps. clear golden color. Nice grassy hoppy nose with some 2row malt underneath. Nice clean malt backbone. Excellent. Dry bitter finish. Very nice and one of the best Canadian Pilsners I’ve ever had.

Yellow. Bubbly. Thin soft white head. A bit of a fruity nose. Dominant malt note and noticeable hops. A quick drink but not a the crisp aggressive classic.
