2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
355ml can pours a pale straw color with a small white head that leaves virtually no lacing on the glass. Aroma is light grains and mild grass. Taste is grainy malt sweetness with a grassy hop bitterness. Light bodied with mild carbonation. Just tastes like a standard macro lager.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
355mL Can from a Fernie Discovery Pack (1 of 4). Pours a clear, golden yellow with a bubbly white head that dissipates like pop fizz. Aroma is grassy, hint of sweet malts - caramel, butter. Taste is a plain jane pilsner-style lager. Mouthfeel is light, moderate to high carbonation. Finishes a little sweet, mild bitter hops in the finish. Would make an ok patio or beach beer in a pinch.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Clear golden yellow, foamy white head settles quickly. Aroma of sweet corn and grainy malts. Funky malty sweetish taste, not much else. Average carbonation, light bodied, low hopped. Some faint grassy hop in the finish. LF (Lagerboy Friendly)

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bought a can of this at Zyn in Calgary. The pour is a bright golden yellow with a off-white head atop. The finger of head dies pretty quick. The nose is grainy with light grassy hops and a hint of lemon. The taste is grainy and bready with a hint of hop on the finish. Overall, not a bad beer, but not good at all.

2.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Nose is rich with buttered corn on the cob, sea salt and dandelion. Big corn trend with these Fernie beers! Colour is an interesting Sauvignon Blanc hue. Things fade drastically in the mouth. Not much to report other than a tug of war in all directions. Not really bitter, not really rich, not fruity or flowery. One thing it is however is slightly watery. Often these multi-facet profiles can work in sync but not here. Saving grace: nice butter cream finish.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Sample at Canadian Brewing Awards 2008. Light, clear golden with a small head. Aroma of sweet malt, icing sugar, faint fusel alcohol, slightly sour endnote. Sticky body. Flavour is sweet and cloying with more icing sugar and a faintly hopped finish. Poorly balanced, and just not very good.

2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
A great canned brew to throw into the golf bag. For a canned lager, this is unsurprisingly straightforward with sweet grainy pale malt as itís sole feature, however it is above macro standards in that it finishes clean and doesnít become harsh or cloying as it warms above 3 degrees Celsius.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Straw colour with minimal head. Light corny aroma with a little grassy wheat. Thin in body with a touch of sweetness. Pretty boring.
