Vertical Bacon Strips (1699) - Asshat, - MAR 27, 2011
Review from a forgettable tasting day in 2010. Pours out a dark amber brew with a purple hue, a small compact white cap. Blunt wheat aroma, fruity smell that must be the huckleberries claimed to be put in here. Almost seems corny. Bit of sweat and sweet malts. The taste is tart and wheaty with lots of fruit flavour, huck b’s, very fruity. This is not even an average brew with little imagination.

Lagerboy (420) - British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 26, 2012
Murky deep amber with a purplish hue, wispy fizzy off white head. Fruity berry wit aroma. Tart sweet berry taste dominates, like it’s been infused ’wit’ fruit juice. Finishes thin and tart. LF (Lagerboy Friendly)

Oakes (10191) - Gibsons, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 11, 2012
Amber, hazy and the light shines through it with some berry colour. The aroma is lightly fruity. Fruity, jammy palate is quite bland, with a little bit too much yeast and doughy malts to really be refreshing.

Lanchester (144) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 24, 2011
Pours a reddish hue topped with a quickly diminishing off-white head. Unusual aroma, picking up a little berry character, though there is a metallic and artificial undertone that isn’t inviting. Fortunately, this doesn’t seem to carry into the taste; pronounced wheat presence throughout, with slight tart notes poking through on occasion. Low carbonation, feels quite thin on the palate. Not bad, though there are improvements to be made.

gramity (601) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 6, 2011
650 mL bottle. Hazy-rusty brown with a small white head. Not really an appealing colour. Berries in the nose; I don’t know what huckleberries smell like, but this must be it. Some berries in the flavour, but not too much. The wheat beer base, however, is underwhelming, and overall, there is too much sweetness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A very unique brew with a slightly purplish pour. A murky brown body with a thin white cap. Some nice carbonation. The nose is wheaty and fruity with an overlying sweetness and tart huckleberry...? Light bread and lemon rind, spices. The taste is quite sweet and fruity in the middle with a lovely tar fruit note. A light hop finish with a creamy mouthfeel. Overall, a pretty good wheated fruit beer, but not memorable

pintbypint (1611) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 9, 2011
650ml brown bottle. Orangey colour with a pinkish tint. Hazy. Big fluffy white head. Good lasting foam. Perfume-y aroma with very light citrus.Taste is slightly sweet, floral, lemony. Dryish wheat background flavour. Finishes a bit soapy and floral with an almost grape-like note. Light body, soft texture and carbonation. Not a huge fan, but I’m pretty sure I fall outside the target market for this beer.

Nena (963) - Seattle, Washington, USA - DEC 18, 2010
Hazed golden pour, thick white head. Smells and tastes like fruity breakfast cereal, particularly crunchberries. Has a bit of tartness on the flavor after starting biscuity and toasty. Drinkable but not great.

blomster (129) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - DEC 18, 2010
Hazy golden colour, small white head. Berries in the aroma, with a somewhat chemical feel to it. Medium sweet with a light body, low carbonation. Taste is chemical juice...not good at all. A drainpour for me.

(650ml bottle) Sampled with Jonas. Thin white head with a cloudy, light brown body. Nose of sprice and gasoline. Thin, acidic, citrus and wet cardboard.
