Draft at the brewery. Almost didn’t try this one bc I’m a raging snob but was much better than expected! Color of blush wine 3 Drier all round no overt fruit no soda, just the slightest whisper of fruit acidity blends well with the malts slight bitterness in the finish. Light body and thoroughly refreshing, no complaint really.

Drinking from a 650 cl bottle. A neutral aroma, some American hops. The unclear pink orange beer has a large white head. In the taste berries, it’s watery. Medium carbonated.

This beer is strangely thin. It almost tastes like it’s been mixed with water. For a fruity beer, we want to taste it ffs.

On tap @ CRAFT. Sort of an amber pour with white foam. Really not too much fruit to this. Mostly just caramel malt and a bit of jam. Maybe a hint of tartness. Really bland flavor. Watery and sweet. Some caramel and toasted malt/bread. Slight biscuit, grass, and lemon. Maybe some sour fruits.

Pours a clear blush/pinkish color with a small white ring. Aroma of light fruity esthers and some sweet pale malts. Taste is light fruit, berries and a light sweet pale malt bill with not much on the finish. A touch light but what makes it enjoyable is that it’s not overly fruity and is refreshing.

Light purple/pinkish pour, with a small off white head. A distinct malted wheat aroma, with touches of diacetyl, and some random berry juice, and light stone fruit. Low carb, muddy mouth feel. Low bitterness in the finish, muddled flavours, sweet berry juice, buttery malts. Meh.

Smell is malty, huckleberries. Taste is much the same as the smell. Slightly tart finish. Average carbonation, slightly creamy on palate. Pretty good.

Sample on tap at Craft Beer Market (Vancouver). Pours a strange grapefruit color. Some head and lacing. Cloudy appearance. Aroma: roasted bread, fruits, malt. Subtle. Taste is fruity. Reminds me of abricot jam on a toast. Not much aftertaste. Some carbonation. Light beer. Strange and original. Not totally unpleasant.

650 ml bottle. Pours a hazy amber colour with a small creamy white head. Light berry aroma. Light berry flavour with some malt and just a hint of wheat. Light body, watery texture and flat to soft carbonation.

UPDATED: JUN 23, 2014 A really decent wheat ale with a great huckleberry profile. I think a lot of the lower reviews are coming from people having never tried huckleberry before. I go to Idaho on vacation every year and that?s pretty much the berry of the state - I have tried everything huckleverry under the sun and this evokes great memories for me. Re rating as I totally forgot I tried this previously and bought another bottle. Poured into a wheat ale glass, had a fizzy white head that faded quickly with minimal lacing. Odd color for a beer. Kind of pinkish purple tinge to a golden ale. Nice wheat ale flavors and huckleberry profile. Removed 1 appearance point and awarded 1 taste and 1 overall on the re rate.
