Cask handpull, The Victoria, Rugby. Brilliant bronze with a white halo. Largely cat urine aroma with some vegetables. Clean and lemony with a generous hop bite, hints of booze and sherbet, nut husk. Nice but dull.

Cask at The Hope Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks, 03-08-09 Pours amber with a small white foamy head. There is a hint of sourness on the nose with some fruitiness. The taste is a little fruity, touch dry but to be honest this is just a little tired, had I have not been in such a rush (Morris Dancing tonight) I think that this was on the verge of being taken back, it wasn’t bad but it was past its best. Cask conditioned at The Royal Blenheim, Oxford. Brown amber with white head. Dry and bitter malty beer, quite biscuity, a bit like a hob nob with a slightly roasted nut flavour. Long bitter finish, pretty reasonable.

UPDATED: SEP 18, 2008 Cask-conditioned at the Bag ONails, Bristol 28/8/08. Bronze coloured with a slight white head. Chewy, almost savoury biscuit malt aroma and flavour with a hint of bitter chocolate. Finish was long and bitter. Not one for hop lovers but I enjoyed it.
