cask at stockbridge tap ... copper ... brown ... thin white head ... light fruity woody malt nose ... soft roast ... good fruits ... ligth hop background.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag ONails, Bristol 21/03/09. Deep amber in colour with a moderate white head. Would agree with the comment below about cereal malts. These dominated both aroma and flavour, creating a big, chewy beer with not much subtlety. Drinkable though.

Cask conditioned at The Royal Blenheim, Oxford. Amber with white head. Heavy malty beer with a dry bitterness, fragrant flowery hops on a cereal body, tasty but understated. Short in the finish, it was ok on the night but not the best.

Cask handpump at The Gardeners Arms, Alderton, Glos, 23-12-07 Pours mid amber, little sign of any ruby in this beer. Good citrusy burst, nice and fruity, good hops, pleasant bitterness, all things considered a pretty tasty bitter.
