3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap 4 oz. sample at the Fezziwig’s Brewing Company tasting room in Carlsbad, CA. Clear, mahogany-brown with tan head and very good lacing. Aroma of toasted malt, nuts, toffee and dates. Taste of toasted malt, nuts, toffee, dark fruit, dates, chocolate and floral hops. Medium body and medium carbonation. A decent brown ale with just the right amount of hops to give it complexity. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark brown in color with a khaki head. Strong toasted malt, lightly roasty, and a nice nuttiness. Some cocoa, earthy hops, and mild toffee sweetness. The flavor has a good hop bitterness to it, plenty of toasted malt, nuts, roasted malt, and cocoa. Earthy and floral hop character. Mildly acidic on the finish.
