3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap 4 oz. sample at the Fezziwig's Brewing Compant tasting room in Carlsbad, CA. The batch I tasted was an abnormally high 4.8% ABV. The brewer said this was due to a faulty thermometer that caused them to let the beer ferment longer. I suspect I enjoyed this higher ABV version more than I would have enjoyed the normal version, which comes in at around 3.7%.
Clear, straw yellow with small off-white head and good lacing.
Aroma of grain, light fruit and caramel.
Taste of caramel, floral hops, grain, bread and light fruit.
Medium/full body and medium carbonation.

A hazed golden straw pour with a white head. Very grain forward with some bread notes. Floral hops, a light fruitiness, some yeast, and just a prevailing sweetness. The flavor is simple, sweet, and acceptable. Grain, bread, and floral hops with a light yeast note and some fruit esters.
