bottle from Bacchus Crickhowell. Hazy golden colour with floaties and a small fizzy white head. Fruity nose. Medium-bodied with a pleasant malty body and some hop flavours of resiny-grassy character. Rounded off with hints of fruit such as bitter orange, lemon fruit, mango and a shy fruity sourness. Very interesting, neither a pale lager as we know it from the continent, neither an ale, althouzgh I can detect many characteristics of a golden ale. A fine beer, nevertheless, which I enjoyed thoroughly.
