COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION Cask, Regular; A strong bodied richly coloured real ale that combines an initial sweetness with a developing bitterness accentuated by delicate and fruity after taste. This is our strongest regular beer and has mainly Challenger and Styrian hops. A late introduction of Saars hops give this beer its characteristic flavour. With an alcohol content of 5.5% abv. It is available in both bottle and cask conditioned form. Named after Sir William Paxtons folly which was built in 1812 to celebrate the victories of Admiral Nelson. Also it was to prove that Paxton himself was not bankrupt. The tower itself is within a short distance of the brewery and is set atop a steep hill.
