4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
The beer is a bright and fairly pale orangey amber color. Fairly hazy liquid. The head is off white and sudsy. Very good retention with some lacing. The aroma is peaches and grapes with tangerine and pineapple. Lots of sweet fruitiness. Mild pine in the background. Light caramel, pretty mild malt character. Taste follows the aroma. It’s quite low on bitterness for the abv and general hoppiness of the beer. Lots of sweet hop fruitiness. Probably a bit low on bitterness for my taste. Finishes mildly dry. Light and smooth feel. Solid DIPA.

5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Pounder can from the woman I’m currently pounding in the can, an undercover operative of PUB’R, and for Christ’s sake don;t tell my wife about this! We have an open marriage, but I have to hide my beer consumption from her! At any rate, the pour is hazy, bright golden, almost fluorescent in its brightness and beauty, with a finger of white, well retained head. Nose is...holy shit lemme tell ya bout the nose, Bob Griese. HUGE honeydew, tangerine, mango, hops, berries. Tastes incredibly rich, with huge hops, balanced by an intense and varied array of tropical fruit, melon, and berry flavors, all intermingling all over your eager taste buds. I’d stand in line with crack whores hired by underhanded beer jerkoffs for another six pack of this. It’s that damned good.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Smells very citrusy and hoppy. Nice dank hop flavor with hints of grapefruit, mango, passion fruit, and a bit of earthyness. Great drinking IPA.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Can 473ml. Thx Czar.
Pours amber with medium off-white head. Good lacing. Aroma is of mangos, lime, fruits, citrus, resin, pine, some slight butter. Taste is of mangos, caramel, bitterness, resin, pine, citrus. Palate: Medium body. Medium carbonation. Very well balanced. Overall: Very nice. Buttery mangos weirdly open the show in the nose, but fade out to more traditionnal hop features.

Can from Damico. Thanks, bro. Pours cloudy yellow to light brown. Aroma is sweet crystal malt, simcoe hops, hints of lime. First sip is very similar with a nice mild bitter finish.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
My Bottom Line:
This dank Double IPA seduces through its fresh aromatics and burst fruitiness in a soft, juicy mouthfeel.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A creamy head of foam covers the cloudy pale amber.
-Bitterness is moderate considering the onslaught of hop aroma and flavor.
-Fruitiness is reminiscent of oranges and mangoes.
-Vague sugars roam within.
-This is not the most refined Double IPA out there, but its hop flavors and juiciness are simply endearing.
On tap at Three Penny Taproom, Montpelier.

Murky orange color with a medium sized, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, citrus, toast, and light pine. Taste of of citrus, grapefruit, bitter grassy finish.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a clear golden with a medium white head that leaves nice lacing. Nose is of tropical fruits and resin along with some very light alcohol. Taste is moderately bitter and not too sweet. Not too boozy too, really nice. Flavors flirt with mangoes but overall is pretty much "tropical" in the generic sense. Body is medium and carbonation moderate. Alcohol is almost completely hidden from the taste and bitterness is never harsh. Overall a really subtle and well-crafted double IPA, between this and Heady Topper these Vermonters are really lucky! Damn!

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Can (16 oz). 5 days old. Split 2-ways with JulienHuxley. Thanks to mathieuc for the can!
Appearance: Slightly hazy bright golden amber with a medium easy to revive creamy off-white head and some lacing.
Aroma: Burst of danks hops, week, onions, resins, herbal notes, citrus, light caramel and light alcohol.
Taste: Dank hops, good malt backbone, light caramel, onion, light citrus, very light alcohol and light to moderate bitterness.
Palate: Medium body. Moderate to medium carbonation. A bit oily moutheel. Dank and juicy finish. Nice light alcohol warming.
Overall: Superb DIPA. The aroma is phenomenal. It could’nt be much more different than the Sculpin Grapefruit we had just before but wow(!) those two are two perfect exemple of great use of hops. The balance in this one is nearly perfect. Alcohol is well integrated and serve to propagate the aroma. Great dankness. Extreme drinkability for a 8.2% abv beer. Great!
