3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 jbrus (4990) - Delft, - DEC 19, 2006
On tap at Proeflokaal, Delft. Nice caramel, milky and soft hops in the aroma. It looks real great. Even the waiter was complementing the brewer for making such a easy-to-tap-stil-looking-good beer. Ruby color, beige creamy head, good lace. In the aroma again caramel and milk but also butterscotch, licorice and a soft bitter finish. Very smooth, very easy going.

Had a pint of this one at the Brouwcafe itself. Very nice looking beer. Smells good too, little yeasty. Tastes not like a bock, but nice anyway.

(on tap at the brewpub) Caramel malty nose, a bit yeasty and fruity. Orange-red coloured with a lasting, creamy head. This beer looks good. Taste is a bit weird. Caramel, some hops and fruits.

Keg, Amsterdam BBF2003. Ruby red, good cream coloured head and moderate condition. Malt and butterscotch aromas, more sweet butterscotch and caramel in the mouth and a slight dry bitterness developing in the finish.

Cloudy with a yeasty aroma and flavor. Some hops, blackcurrant and licorice. Nothing special, lacks the basic bock beer characteristics.

PINT bokbier-festival 2003. Fantastic appearance. Stout-like flavour with some berries. Unusual.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 caesar (3748) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - OCT 25, 2003
PINT-bokbier 2003: Very cloudy brown color, short creamy head. Initial aroma and taste i described were: Creamy, bitter, coffee, chocolat. I referred to the Guinness even. But after half a glass of this odd brew, i discovered a more fruity aroma, and the notes in my little book changed to: strong berry, grapes. Overall, quite enjoyable.
