On tap at Arendsnest. Bubbly Tripel. Bitter, and quite spicey with lacey texture. Tripel-styl, sweet caramel flavour. Cognacy even. Quite nice. Pity the brewery is out of business. Maybe it will be resurrected.

Tap at Arendsnest, march 07. Full, fruity, peachy aroma with an orangey touch. Yeast, alcoholic flavor. Some bubblegum and a nice burning ending. Medium MF with some chewy flavor and a mild ending. Shinny, clear, golden color and a rather thin white head. Nice strong (not so strong) dutch golden ale.

Tap at Fiddler’s in Den Haag. Nice triple, orange, golden colored brew. Without a head. Fruity, sweet aroma. Balanced bitterness with grainy and light fruity taste. A triple combined with the english style brews in mind, with english hops. Nice surprisingly variant.

Tap, Fiddler, Den Haag. Copper golden color, no head. Hazy. A vague caramelly aroma. No head. Very fruity flavor. Mango and peach. Low on carbon, but flowery hops in the background, becoming a bit stronger in the aftertaste. OK.

UPDATED: DEC 16, 2006 Re-rate, On tap at the brewpub: Peach aroma with hint of caramel and a bit soapy in the beginning. Light hazy, yellow color, tiny off-white head, good lace. Light sweet, bitter, apricot in the flavor, fruity, hint of honey. Soft, bitter dry and flat finish. English hops in a Belgian Ale. Jan 2006, 3.5: On tap at Winterbierfestival. Strong caramel aroma. Light hazy, amber color, off-white head, good lace. Sweet, caramel, lots of bitter hops, dry finish. Strange combination of an abbey tripel with english hops.

On draft at Fiddler’s. Clear golden coloured, small head. Some hops, alcohol is apparent. Quite watery. Like caesar mentioned, not a tripel in a Belgian way.

Tap, Fiddler. Clear golden color, short head. Aroma of some grain, hop. Bit creamy and thick texture. Strong taste, bit alcohol, some grain, bit watery still. Not a triple in a belgian way.
