joss (3081), Garching b. München, Germany Apr 12, 2008 Bottle, thanks kappldav. Deep red golden, low visible carbonation, off-white collapsing head. Sweet sugary, light berrylike nose. Sugary malt, honey notes, light fruityness quickly leading to a somewhat bland exit. Could use more hops to 0ff-set the sweetness. Relatively light body, mellow, light sticky mouthfeel. Quaffable, but not my kind of beer.
Papsoe (9771), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 8, 2008 (Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Clear deep golden with a dense, off-white head. Lightly perfumy and floral aroma with plenty of malt. Good solid sweet malt base yet still somehow watery. Almost no bitterness. 050608 yespr (5611), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jun 8, 2008 50 cL bottle, trade with kappldav123. Pours clear and golden orange with a lacing white head. Mild spiced and cornish aroma. Sweet cornish and subdued spice flavour. Uplifting alcohol presence, although this is not dominant. Ends smooth and medium sweet caramel malt and light cornish. fonefan (4062), Ulfborg, Denmark Apr 9, 2008 Bottle. Clear medium orange amber color with a large, frothy, excellent lacing, fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, sugar, toffee. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (160308) kappldav123 (889), Markkleeberg, Germany Dec 21, 2007 The bottle looks really good. But I don’t know why to name a beer "Abraham". The beer is sweeter than other bocks - very good. You don’t realize the strengh - very good. I think that’s the best beer from the brewery.
