Bottle. Pours a highly carbonated mahogany with a head of off-white. Aroma is malted molasses, with hints of nut and grain. Flavor is uber-sweet molasses malt with touches of Grape Nuts and barley. Nice mouthfeel. Pleasant, approachable beer.

16.9 oz ceramic bottle-Poured a deep amber almost brown with a small off white head. Aroma of malt and caramel. This medium bodied brew had a taste of the same with a bit of brown sugar. A nice tasting brew.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin biege head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel, and so is the flavor, though added a note of alcohol. Thanks yespr for sharing.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Clear orangey brown with a frothy, off-white head leaving some laces. Sweet aroma of roasted malt and Danish Rye Bread. Medium body, roasted malt - almost a little burned - and again Danish Rye. Rather subdued bitterness. 050608

50 cL bottle, trade with kappldav123. Pours clear and golden brown with a lacing white head. Caramel malt and slight spiced. Flavour is mild breadish and with a nice caramel malt base. Ends caramel sweet and medium bitter and slight spiced.

Bottle, kindly provided by Kappldav. Chocolate, molassis, caramel aroma. Chestnut, low brown head. Sweet brown sugar entry, bisquit and a few herbal notes. Relatively light body - has a Schwarzbier vibe to it, molassis - not too sticky mouthfeel though, light plums retronasal.

Bottle. Clear medium to dark red brown color with a large, frothy, excellent lacing, fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, roasted, brown sugar, notes of chocolate. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (160308)

(50cl NRW-bottle, courtesy of Koelschtrinker) Clear, mahogany colour with a big and moderately persistent beige foamy head. Sweet toast-malty aroma, slightly molassy with notes of caramel and sugar beet and a light but also almost Port-like alcoholic touch. Sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a smooth and friendly carbonation. Solid dark and toasty malt-character with caramel and residual sweetness; sweet but not sticky malt-accented finish with a very faint bitterness in the background. Nice, but still too sweet for my liking (21.03.08).
