3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Kristall-König (1552) - Oldenburg, GERMANY - JUL 1, 2011
Geruch unaufdringlich malzig-schokoladig. Prickelnd-säuerlicher Start. Zur Mitte hin malziger, jedoch dumpf mit wässrigen Zügen. Neben den schokoladigen Noten, treten im Abgang moderat herbe Aromen dazu. Etwas aromenarmes Bier. Geht so. Test vom 17.9.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Grima (1240) - Saarburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - JUN 26, 2011
Courtesy of kappldav123, thanx!!!
In the glass, the beer is pitch black with a slight reddish tint and a high, creamy head, which unfortunately falls quite rapidly. The aroma is roasted malty, the beer starts with lots of roasted malts and a slightly bitter flavor. The beer goes into a malty sweet finish, with hints of honey and caramel!
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Koelschtrinker (6544) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 16, 2011
Minimaler Malzgeruch.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Allen (2396) - SWITZERLAND - JUN 10, 2009
Bottled 50cl. Courtesy of kappldav123. It pours a beautiful deep ruby beer with a creamy, nicely lasting beige head which leaves a remarkably nice lacework. Malt, cherry, vegetabels and pumpernickel showing up in the nose- decent but not really exciting or inviting. Sweet malty tate. Low bitterness. Pumpernickel, cherry and coffee in the taste. Light to medium bodied. Easy drinkable. Not much carbonation. The palate is poor. Sweet malty finish. I am not a big fan of the style- a good example though. Thanks a lot kappldav123!
