3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 kappldav123 (3296) - Markkleeberg, GERMANY - DEC 20, 2007
The bottle looks good. The beer in the glass is very washy. The beginning is sweet, a little bit too sweet for a pilsner I think. An average beer.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Nate (3093) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 22, 2002
Actually, this is for the Pils im Stein, so I don’t know if this is different (other than the packaging). It’s a nice little hoppy Pils. Good aroma, nice head retention, and quite palatable. The ’stein’ makes a nice bookend :)

A bit sweet, and a nice malt aroma and taste meets your lips when you sip it. Very nice beer. Comes in a nice crockwars stein to enjoy! Pils im Stein, it’s called.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Indra (2361) - Overland Park, Kansas, USA - AUG 18, 2002
My rating is also for Pils im Stein. Earthenware bottles are cool. Gentle, sweet, fruity, flowery aroma, with a hint of sourness. Deep golden color with a touch of amber. Head poured out very nicely, but shortly had subsided completely, leaving only some intriguing, fine-bubbled carbonation. Flavor is pleasant, with a light malty fruitiness, a little citrus zing and a very complimentary hop blend. Finishes very refreshingly. Light body, quenching and flavorful. What a Pils this is, wow.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Shag (2283) - Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA - NOV 7, 2003
Pils im Stein - A nice citrus aroma. Appearance is golden. Flavor is slightly bitter with some citrus fruit coming out. A nice creamy mouthfeel. This is a nice simple pilsner, nothing fancy or overdone. And extra appearance points for the stien!
2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Grima (1573) - Saarburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - SEP 23, 2011
Golden yellow color with long-lasting head. Smells like sweet natural hops. Starts very sweet, hoppy, little tart, overall very mild. Finish is hoppy sweet, slightly tart, very natural and fresh!
3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 10/20 imstein (5) - Alabama, USA - MAR 6, 2004 does not count
Only had one couple of years ago. It was, by far, the best beer I have tasted.
